October through May is the dry season and the best time to go. We are working together with an orphanage and our voluntary work is in 2 main areas:
Education/Training
Volunteers will be working with children in the age of 6-16 and will teach them English, general subjects and skills. They will also organise activities.
Social and Health Care
It is important to have volunteers who want to share their knowledge of health care with locals. Not only the actual care itself is important, but also to inform people about HIV, the dangers of sniffing glue (very common amongst street children), taking drugs etc.
