Au Pair in NZ

Au Pair in NZ

Go to New Zealand as an au pair“Au Pair” means “on par” or “equal” and describes a person who is usually between 18 and 30 years old and lives with a host family in a foreign country for a six to twelve months period. The duration to be an Au Pair in New Zealand can be shorter though. The tasks of the Au Pair include the care of children and light household work in return for free accommodation and bills, all meals, and some pocket money. Although an Au Pair in New Zealand is an employee under the New Zealand Employment Law, the Au Pair is seen as part of the family and will have a chance to explore another language, culture and environment. But the Au Pair experience also enriches the lives of the parents and children. It is exciting to have an “international” household and learn about cultural differences while parents can be trusted that their little ones are in good hands.
